My digital story about my transition from the seminary to dating my girlfriend and starting at BCIT. I made it for my Digital Storytelling class. Created on Adobe Premiere Pro. This was a very personal project. I learned a lot about myself and creating content for my youtube channel.

One of my first Youtube videos. Different editing techniques showing my dad making a cup of tea. I used variouse type of shots to show a fairly simple process, making a cup of tea.

I’ve got to be on air on the radio station at BCIT (Evolution 107.9). I’ve been an on air personality. I’ve done news and sports. Learning to use Burli has been a big help to going on the radio. Burli is a program that pulls news and sports stories from the news wire, updating live through the day. It also has sound clips that help to create the theatre of the mind for an on air performance on the radio.

This was one of my first interviews. It was a sit down interview with my dad, talking about happiness. Sitting face to face with someone to do an interview isn’t easy sometimes. Being in person does help you feel more connected and your able to read facial expressions and riff more with the person you’re interviewing. Interviewing my dad was an honour and a privilege. He gave me some great advice about happiness: don’t sweat the small stuff.

I’m not a great photographer, but BCIT’s Burnaby campus is really nice. The Fall is a great time, with so many trees, the changing colours of the falling leaves make for a nice subject.

I mostly tweet about sports but sometimes it’s about important things in the news. Twitter or X can be a weird place at times, especially on “Canucks Twitter” but I love being able to connect with news and sports people. I have been working on coming up with more creative tweets and not just retweeting or updating sports scores.
